In 2000 CGTO became a festival of ancient Greek drama.
In addition to the annual production, CGTO now offers symposia, lectures and film programs. |

In 2001 we instituted the practice of touring our
productions to universities |

In 2005 we added a second, Spring, production --
an "experimental" presentation balancing the strictly traditional Fall shows. |

In 2006 we celebrated our 20th Anniversary by presenting
a series of original projects throughout the year, including a collaboration with Blackfish Gallery Artists' Collective, CoHo
Productions and Readers Theatre Repertory to present MythFest, a month-long interdisciplinary celebration of the
myths of many countries.

Our Spring 2006 production, What Mad Pursuit by CGTO Artistic Director Keith Scales, was a finalist for the Oregon Book Awards! | |
Performances are given in a beautiful 600-seat amphitheatre, surrounded
by trees and a lake, on the grounds of Reed College.

Each September in Portland, Oregon, the
